Today has been a beautiful Easter Sunday, both in weather and spirit. The skies were clear and blue and the air was warm. Church was wonderful. I really enjoyed the talks in Sacrament Meeting about our Savior, Jesus Christ. I've just felt such a sweet spirit all day, and have been so full of love from and for my Savior. I'm so grateful for Jesus Christ and His Atoning Sacrifice and Resurrection.
"We laugh, we cry, we work, we play, we love, we live. And then we die... And dead we would remain but for one Man and His mission, even Jesus of Nazareth... He is our Redeemer; He is our Mediator with the Father. He it was who died on the cross to atone for our sins. He became the firstfruits of the Resurrection. Because He died, all shall live again."
- President Thomas S. Monson
Brian and I watched the Special Witnesses of Christ videos this afternoon. It is so wonderful to hear the Prophet and Apostles bear witness of Jesus and the truth of the gospel. Here is the link if you are interested in watching for yourselves:
On another note, yesterday we did some last minute celebrating. We weren't planning on doing anything, but then we decided at the last minute to color eggs. This is only the second time we've colored eggs together. I've been putting some holiday traditions like this off, waiting until we have kids to instigate them. I've realized that we've been missing out on all the fun, and that we don't need children to be silly and have fun around the holidays. After making and enjoying dinner together, we sat down and had a little Easter party of our own. It was really fun, and we ended up with some pretty eggs.
These eggs made some delicious deviled eggs by the way. Happy Easter!
