We finally made it to the Christmas Tree at Rockefeller Center. We walked up Fifth Avenue looking at the window displays of all the shops on the way to the tree. The streets were so crowded, and the hustle and bustle reminded me of the song "Silver Bells." I especially loved the entrances to Saks Fifth Avenue that were all decorated with greenery and lights.
Saks is right across the street from Rockefeller Center, and we were able to catch our first glimpse of the tree.
We crossed the street and made our way down the walkway. They had the same angels set up as last year. They are my favorite of all the Christmas decorations we've seen in the city.
The flags around the ice rink have been switched from the countries' flags to silver and gold flags.
After a bit of waiting and maneuvering, we made it to the front of the crowd. The Zamboni machine was smoothing the ice so there were no skaters on it at the moment. I was able to get the perfect picture of the tree.
We made our way around to the backside of the rink closer to the tree.
Merry Christmas from New York! We hope your holidays are wonderful, and that all is well with you and yours.
Beautiful! I love the angels too! Can't wait to see you guys!!
